Whaadever Stuff

How do you kill two birds with one stone?
Thwack and thwack?
No.

Thwack.Thwack.
whizz.....BOOM!
Thud.

The PETA monster gets you!
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Stop, now. It isn't funny to writhe and shriek in laughter. Cough, cough.

Okay, shoot, I can't be funny to save my life.
There, count the puns.
One, two, buckle my shoe.

Argh.
The whole point of this post is......um, something.
Yes!
You kill two birds with one stone by going to Adventure Island, then riding the Sidewinder till you're tipsy, and then finishing off the day capturing a heavenly sunset.

There, I'm done now.
Scamper.

Yeah, last week. Pros of belonging to the Great Indian Huge Family. You have cousins dropping by, who wish to be entertained :D

And thanks! I wish the Sun were a little rounder though :P

What is Adventure Island? Sounds like some kind of picnic spot or theme park. Nice photograph.

All I remember seeing in Delhi is the India Gate. Everytime we'd go to Delhi, my mama would take us to see the India gate and show it as if he's made it himself. He'd tell us about everything from scratch as if we were seeing it the first time. Did get kind of annoying after some time but well, it's fine.

I didn't see it the last time though, because I'd come alone and it was fun. We went to an American restaurant, I don't remember the name now. I think it was Red something..maybe. I had Rum there I believe, first time in my life lol. After that we (i.e. me and my Massi) went back home in an autorickshaw which had Ferrari interiors as in it had Ferrari's on all four sides and when we got home, I was like..okay..is it the alcohol or are we really having an earthquake in here? Of course, it was the alcohol. :P

You got it right, its a theme park, and it beats Appu Ghar hollow! Don't temme you don't know what Appu Ghar is! *mock surprise* Any first timer to Delhi is duly shown Appu Ghar, our desi jhoola ghar. :P

Next time you're taken to India Gate, stray a little and go to Khan Market afterwards. Great bookstores, better food. Big Chill..Mmm. :D

lol, did you go to Ruby Tuesday? I don't know any other American restaurants other than All American Diner or TGIF. Nothing red there :s

Haha, the alcohol got to you that much?! You'd better build up a better resistance to it then, in case you wanna survive college =P

@Vasudha: Darn, you're a genius! It was Ruby Tuesday indeed, and the food was bad. Americans are only good at Burgers and french fries it seems. I'll try Khan market the next time. I've been to Palika Bazaar and Nehru place and some other places. Palika Bazaar can be really funny/annoying at times. I had a guy trying to sell me a Sherwani which was meant for like 7 year olds. I mean, come on, give me a break! And the amount of porn they've god stored in here and the way people buy it is scary. You'd not wanna visit that place with an elder lol. I heard some very neat movie titles from one of my friends who lives in Delhi. It's rather explicit so not gonna mention that but it was totally hilarious.

Yes, I've been to Appu Ghar too. It was..well I don't remember it was long time back. Is it still alive? I thought they were shutting it down to make something else. Ugh nevermind, I realize it's closed..I didn't read the first line carefully enough. We have a desi jhoola ghar in here as well and it's just outside the town. It's called Hardy's world :P

And that was my first time with alcohol, that's why I lost it. I'm a serial drinker now, can survive college pretty easily now if it's only about drinking and freaking out. If one has to study too, then I'm gonna have to think again lol.

i'm not writing about the *coughs chronically.. (not intentionally)* "swiss experience" on my blog either which way... reasons: break of trust, embarrassment for a host of ppl and (most crucially)my blog might be deleted by censurers.. lol.
*goes into a coughing bout*

Ishmeet : Well, I'm more of a genious.Lol, long story, that. :P Ruby Tuesday does some neat Apple Spritzers, if you go back [though I don't think you will :P] Palika is like, whoa. The shadiest stuff, and the cheapest rates! The only times I've been there has been with elders, lol. It has its share of characters, there was a guy dressed as Himesh Reshammiya the last time I went there, trying to catch the eye of a couple of firangs :P

Hardy's World, well. I prefer my Ad Island. *grins*

Yeah, college is just drinking, rock concerts and freaking out. At least for the sake of my survival, I hope it is :)

Nik : Oh.My.God. I thought the Swiss holiday was just an innocent li'l skiing vacation! :O Exactly what did you do?! And um, gmail doesn't have censurers, does it? :P

Prerna : Chhutku teen, thankfully :D

Galbatorix : So you like Eragon too,eh? :D I was a member, might join again soon. And come on, the book won the Whitbread, so you won't really be alone :)

I might go back to Ruby Tuesday, don't have much of a problem with it. But then again, I'll go only if some elder is paying because it's rather expensive. I knew I wasn't gonna like pork, it's disgusting. The french fries were okay-ish. So yeah, Apple Spritzers, I'll try to remember that.

Palika can be a good place if you wanna buy DVD's and games and have the kind of patience to survive in an underground market full of cigarette smoke. They have some neat clothes shops in there, apart from that huge collection of smuggled electronics and stuff. And there weren't any characters when I went there. Too bad, would have so liked to see a Himesh Reshammiya ki copy. Original hi itna comedy hai, duplicate to aur bhi mast hoga.

And college life depends on the college you go to really. As far as I know, I don't think there's any college in India that is just rock concerts, booze and sex. We are still very geeky compared to the rest of the world.

Vasudha said...

Yeah,it is pretty expensive. I go to Ruby Tuesday only 'cause I have food coupons that can be encashed there :P

Palika is a neat place. But the problem is, it has earned a rep as this rapist haven, which doesn't really entice me to go there. Ahem. :P

Okay, maybe there aren't, but the studies are still just incidental, aren't they? :P That's incentive enough :) Or you can be a gaddar and go vilayat :P

Nik said...

*grins in a self explanatory manner*

Nikunj said...

Hi, a gaddar here. Nice blog. Dropped in here from nikita's blog. Liked your weirdo sense of humor. And gaddaree is no fun, because of the lack of good gaddar food. In fact, I am still to find out what american food actually is. Usually american is a synonym of "Come one, come all". Food, Culture, Business, anything. An american once asked me Him: "Tell me frankly, do you think american food is good?"
Me: You really want to know?
Him: yeah.
Me: No. (Infinite awkward silence...)

Mashed pataoes and gravy. Good god. Parathe banao yaar.

Vasudha said...

Nik : You, miss, have some explaining to do. =P

Nikunj : Hey, thanks for stopping by. Lol, it can't be all THAT bad! Though all I can subsist on is desi food myself. Went to Edinburgh and ate plain ol' bread and marmalade for b'fast, lunch AND dinner for a week, so I can sympathize there. :P

Oh, and learn some tact soon. You don't want to cause an international diplomatic furore based on the merits of parathe vis-a-vis mashed potatoes and gravy. =P

ishmeet said...

Ah yes, studies are just co-incidental, I believe. Why can't things be the way they show it in those American Pie movies. There are a lot of interesting concepts, such as co-ed bathrooms lol. That's the heights, I can't even imagine what that'd be like lol.

And I agree it's a nightmare in terms of food when you have to go out of India. I think it's even worse when you were living in the North earlier. We are way too used to spices, oil and stuff. Paranthas forever!

Nik said...

call me then... i'm too lazy.

Nik said...

marmalade?! ... u useless prat.
the place is world renowned for its sea food (and not to mention, whisky/scoth and beer) and u blithering idiot go all out on marmalade... y?

Vasudha said...

Ishmeet : I'm in an all girl's school, and our school's the Board Centre for DPS, which is co-ed. So since we don't have guys restrooms, guess what brilliant plans are arrangements were made for them? The washrooms had benches stacked up in the middle. :P That's co-ed bathrooms for you. :P

Nik : You think I'm better off? Lazier. Plus I have tuition everyday. Gah. :( How come you're never online when I am? :(

Yes, marmalade. *smiles toothily* I've been vegetarian for four years now, and anyway, I never liked sea food. Didn't have whisky or beer either, that's Dad's department. But I did have all the non Indian Breezer flavors. :P

ishmeet said...

ROFL, that's the best piece of the famous Indian jugaad thing I ever heard. Thank God I'm not in DPS. And who goes to the toilets during exams anyway..jo hona hota hai tension ke maare andar hi ho jaata hai. :P

Nik said...

arrgh!! then u should have eaten some strange and exotically titleld vegetarian food (marmalade odes NOT qualify).

oh and i'm never online...

Vasudha said...

Ishmeet : LOL.Nah, they're not that bad. :P

Nik : Did I mention? I don't eat vegetables either.:P Asparagus won't suffice, will it? :P

ishmeet said...

@Vasudha: Yeah, I trust you, totally :P

Vasudha said...

Ishmeet : Haha, yeah, got it wrong. Basically I don't care that much. :P

ishmeet said...

Yeah, you don't need to. It's the guys who have to go to the jugaadu bathrooms, not you. :P

Vasudha said...

Yeah, and anyway, my centre was better than my school :D

Nik said...

u should be kept on display in a museum of psychosis.. u seem to have managed to survive 16 years of life on a diet of marmalade. there must be an award for that somewhere in this world/galaxy/universe (ursa minor beta?)

One week, not 16 years.
15 years and 51 weeks were spent gorging on Chhole Bhature :P
