Misery

I hate this.
No, I loathe it.

Having to get up at 9 AM on a Sunday - Bad.
Seeing you got up because there's a water pipe leakage over your head - Worse.
Freaking out when you see your new, unread books have been given an unwanted complimentary bath - Worst.

[And to top it all, the books that drip when I hold them up aren't even the ones I bought for myself, they're the ones I got as some scholarship thingamajig from my dear, dear school.

Alright, so you can chuck the dear, dear bit, but I did want to read East of Eden and Ana Karenina! :( ]

Noticing that your Business Studies textbook survived the flood?
Conclusive proof that God is a sadist.

So tell me, should I "aww" for Anna Karenina or "shit" for the business studies book? Well, I did both so you can select which one is more appropriate.

I remember getting soaked in the rain once. I was hoping my maths book got destroyed but it didn't. The Moral Science book died but I loved it. It was so comical and had our favorite chapter on pre-marital sex. We had our principal coming specially and explaining that chapter. And you should have seen our faces. And the best part is that most of the students pronounce pre-marital sex as pre-martial sex. :P

But anyway, you're lucky that the leakage didn't reach the computer cause it does funny things. I remember my friend dripping coke all over my keyboard and it was fireworks that followed. He didn't even pay me lol so I threw water on his monitor [accidentally of course] the next time I went to his house.

Alright, I'm off to flush my math book and see if it comes back from some wash basin. If it does, then it totally proves that God is a sadist.

Ishmeet : Shit is the word.:| I can replace Anna Karenina, and I can sorta put the Given By Blah thing on my new copy, but I can't get rid of my Business Studies book. For another year at least.Argh.

Lmao..pre-martial.I can imagine that though, pre martial sex.Funny sight. :P

The computer is in the other room, but I wouldn't have minded it being soaked.Since it wouldn't have been my fault, I could have demanded, um..asked for another one.Something along the lines of a Mac Powerbook Pro, what say? :)

Shruti : Haha, no! It was a coincidence.Or if you're a Bridget Jones fan, Mentionitus. :D

Vasudha said...

*Powerbook or Pro.
My bad. 0_0

Even if they happen to be in regular contact with the person being talked about? :P

Vasudha said...

Well, they might have specifically cleared all doubts they might have had on the subject matter, and the statement may be a consequence of that?
:D

Nice post.
I like your writing style.

Couldn't have been more formal, I guess. :|

Vasudha said...

Prerna : Yeah, maybe. But what if they had proof? :D

Disha : :| :/ :s >.<

:P Okay, so what's wrong? :)

Disha said...

Nothing?
So you mean to say that I cannot like your post? ":P"

P.S: There. An emoticon.

Vasudha said...

Disha : Well, you could. :P
Emoticons prove nothing.Their absence does, though :)

Prerna : Um, sorry? :s
Very happy, vaise :P

Wow, that is a neat idea indeed. I guess I should just go and break a water pipe and put my laptop under it. I could kill people for a Macbook pro lol, those things are magnificent.

Pre martial sex, yeah it's imaginable but not very talkable here lol. It's such small things that made Moral Science one of my favorite subjects. It's so obviously well..trying to do the impossible. Morals can't be cultivated by reading books, and definitely not when topics such as pre martial sex are involved lol. I believe that's one chapter everybody in the class attended.

Ishmeet : Try it? :P Temme if you succeed. I don't wanna crap up my computer only to end up PC-less, thanks to stubbornly resisting parents :)

Shayeri : Wish more could have :) But, hey, you're back! :D

Hehehehe, I don't know whether to laugh or be horrified at the destroyed (non-academic) books :) (I just did both :D)
Happy new year!

ishmeet said...

Right, I don't think I'll succeed with the kind of price that thing has and the kind of liking my parents have for me spending way too much time on the computer.
